About the Persian Language Center for Non-Persian Speakers (AZFA)

 


   The Persian Language Center for Non-Persian Speakers (AZFA) at the University of Mazandaran was established to promote the Persian language and Iranian culture among international learners. The Center received official accreditation from the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology in 2016 and has since offered comprehensive Persian language programs at various proficiency levels, providing learners of all ages and backgrounds with the opportunity to acquire and enhance their Persian language skills.
The University of Mazandaran enjoys a unique location in one of Iran’s most beautiful regions. The province of Mazandaran is renowned for its diverse natural landscapes, pleasant climate, and numerous recreational and cultural attractions. These distinctive features provide international students with an exceptional environment in which to learn the Persian language while experiencing Iranian culture firsthand.
Upon successful completion of the Persian language program and the comprehensive proficiency examination, international students are eligible to pursue their academic studies in their chosen fields at the University of Mazandaran or other higher education institutions across Iran.
In addition to providing high-quality instruction in Persian language and literature, the Center is committed to fostering academic and cultural exchange with students from around the world. Its key objectives include developing educational resources and instructional materials for teaching Persian to non-Persian speakers, identifying and addressing research priorities related to Persian language education, conducting collaborative research projects with faculty members and students from the Departments of Persian Language and Literature, English Language, and Arabic Language and Literature, and introducing international students to the rich history, civilization, and cultural heritage of Iran.
